Merchants Warehouse, designed by Ian Simpsons Architects, is a Grade II listed award-winning restoration. It’s bursting with original features from exposed brickwork and cast iron columns to timber beams and floors.
This former Georgian Warehouse was originally built in 1825 and after surviving devastating fires and bombings in WW2, we restored Merchants Warehouse to its former glory.
This award-winning restoration is now chock full of design, media & tech tenants, who have formed a creative community right in middle of a picturesque Castlefield.
THE SPEC.
Answer – nobody! If there’s an issue, why not speak to the people who own, restored and manage the building? (Us!).
We’re a hands-on landlord where we’re needed and have a great team who are based on-site and ready to help.
If you already know Manchester, then you’ll know how picturesque and calm Castlefield is, whilst oddly also being very central.
The term “urban oasis” gets bandied about, but we couldn’t find a phrase more suitable!
The area isn’t just great because of the history and the views but it also has a bustling community of award-winning restaurants and bars. We loved it so much that we even opened our own Albert’s Shed and Dukes 92.
With canalside beer gardens in abundance and some of the city’s finest food, Castlefield is one of the best places to eat and drink in Manchester (and even more so in the summer).
